A bad lot whose faces are just right for the gibbet attack and plunder the skin traders that navigate along the Missouri transporting their precious loads of hides. The infamous thugs carry out their dirty business disguised as Indians so that the blame falls on the innocent Cheyennes: it is enough to make the blood of the white Navajo chief, Aquila della Notte, boil! Little by little the band is dismantled and the storehouses of the rich merchant, Pierre Duprè, the covert leader of the entire criminal gang, are fed to the flames by the pards.
