The mystery of Tex’s past is dispelled! A band of plunderers had killed his father, Ken Willer, and Tex, opposed by his brother Sam, had rushed beyond the border to avenge him, together with his weapons instructor, Gunny Bill. Then, when the mission was accomplished, in a clash of fire with the Rurales, Gunny also died. Having left the family ranch, Tex joined the Corlis’ Rodeo in S. Antonio, where he tamed a fiery bronco: Dynamite! The cowboys in the Rodeo were being subjected to extortion by by the gambler, Lucas, and by the slimy Clem Tilden. Having found in Tex a nut that was too hard to crack, Tilden slunk away with the show’s earnings. The story continues.
