Having formed an alliance with Mac Parland of Pinkerton that seems destined to last, Tex and the pards, supported by the sheriff of Cedarville, settle for good the score with Rube Burrows and the Culver band. But, in Cedarville, someone doesn’t approve of the Pinkerton allies: someone who has transformed the town into a personal fief that is a veritable incarnation of the world of brigandage, made of secret passages, poisons, hired ruffians and vile spies; someone who hides a disgusting whiskey trafficker’s snout behind a respectable public face … someone who only has four fingers on his right hand!
