Tex and Carson, suspecting that the go-betweens who were supposed to follow them in the incursion against don Navarrete are not at all to be trusted, decided to set off for Mexico on their own! It’s a suicide mission… but the pards manage to find two cat’s paws prepared to accompany them: Negrito, and the head of the proud Coyoteros Apaches, father Kiwa. Unfortunately the latter dies before entering into action, during a skirmish with the rurales provoked by the devious Walter Kelly: after pretending to be a friend, Kelly then went and betrayed the two rangers. Kelly’s ruse fails and ends up in leaden metal, and finally our heroes reach Navarrete’s encampment, a den of vile cut-throats.
