To block the raids perpetrated by the Mescaleros of Lucero, a bloodthirsty Indian chief who hides behind the identity of the wealthy rancher Esqueda, Tex and his pards use the help of the Cochise’s Chiricahaus. In the meantime, Lucero decides to get rid of anyone who can unveil his identity: he has the driver of a stage coach who survived the attack by his Indian robbers killed by a ruffian and then suffocates poor father Michele of the San Xavier mission in his sleep, although the latter was only guilty of having brought him up when he was a child and then kept his photo.
