The four pards’ arrival in Winnipeg, called to the Great North by Jim Brandon, does not pass unobserved: Paul Bonnet, one of the leaders of the arms and alcohol trafficking, warned by one of his men, tries unsuccessfully to kill the dangerous adversaries. Tex realizes that considerable economic interests are concealed behind the dirty attempt to stir up an Indian revolt and persuades the lovely Rita Duchesne – a fascinating woman used by the band to enchant fools – to defect to his side and reveal what she knows, before it is too late to save themselves.
