Having saved the Miller Ranch, Tex and Carson discover that the Comanches trade with the Mexican, Fidel Romulio, who, in order to seize the treasures of Esmeralda’s temple, is lying in wait for the queen who is determined to bring the Aztec civilization back to its ancient splendor. To find out more about it, the pards go to Pilares where El Morisco, a scholar of occult sciences, lives with his gloomy servant Eusebio. Tex, under the influence of peyote, sees an old enemy with whom he will soon clash again. Having defeated Romulio and buried Esmeralda, who was mortally wounded in the clash with the bandits in her pyramid, the Rangers face El Plateado, a bloodthirsty Apache who kidnaps white women...
