When Pablo Valverde and his sister, Rosita, suddenly see James Horton’s first wife, Carol, reappear on the scene although everyone believed she was dead, they get scared as if they’d seen a ghost and confess to having been the ones who had tried to kill her. After the ghostly settling of accounts in Union City, the Rangers run into an infernal carousel of rebel Indians, kidnapped women, deserting soldiers, conspiracies and betrayals: we are in the so-called Great Triangle (between Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado), during the Civil War, where the beastly John Rackman and his renegade soldiers terrorize Pine Bluff...
