Hired by Professor Emil Lysenko, Dylan goes to Ukraine to find Sonja the scientist's wife, who disappeared in mysterious circumstances. The woman was leading an expedition that seems to have been attacked and decimated by a strange creature, that Emil suspects to be the legendary Upyr. A cruel monster, half witch-doctor and half vampire, who roams that lands since centuries ago, spilling blood on the winter's snow. Dylan Dog will have to find out what's hiding beyond this gloomy myth...
