Shuttle FC 916 arriving from Luna City crashes into a shopping center in East City! Almost nine hundred people are killed in the tragic accident. The official inquiry entrusted with shedding light on the causes of the disaster seems to be oriented towards ascribing the responsibility to human error by the pilot, Captain Lagrange, who is said by his colleagues to be suffering from a severe attack of depression. The association of the relatives of the victims, acting through their spokesman Mr. Atkins, decides to set up an independent investigation, for which they hire the Agenzia Alfa. The various trails Nathan starts to follow all seem to end up as dead ends… But then he receives a helping hand to get him out of the impasse from Dr. Leyla Duchateau, of the Sinclair Asylum: she tells him about the strange words uttered by the little patient called Timmy…
