While, back on Earth, Solomon Darver is persisting with his machinations to secure for the Agenzia Alfa the coveted role as premier action force of the Security Council (a role the agency had already been awarded under the presidency of Nadia Galya), on Mars things have gotten very complicated. Branko, May and Nicole have been kidnapped by former colonel Jack Gordon, but the renegade is completely unaware of Nathan’s presence on the Red Planet, and in the meantime Nathan himself is desperately trying to locate the place where his friends are being held prisoner.
