On the lowest levels of the City, the mutilated and lifeless body of a girl of evident Maori origin is discovered. All the evidence points to the victim’s brother, young Kebi, as the culprit, because he’s considered to be a bit of a no-good, and as if that weren’t enough he belongs to a violent gang of juveniles, the Tutua gang. But the mother is convinced of Kebi’s innocence and turns to the Agenzia Alfa in order to get him cleared of the murder charge. And it’s up to Nathan Never, with the aid of fascinating Asjia – herself also a Tutua gang member – to unravel the strands of this obscure business…
