The wrestler Tiger, controlled by the treacherous Athos Than, is killing off some survivors from a Dragon Island competition held some five years earlier. Others are victims of hypnotic signals sent by Than. Terry Ying is among them, in a coma as a result of Than’s intervention. Nathan Never is hired by Bruce Brandon to throw some light on the killings. Meanwhile, on Tersicore, old Li Xiaolong is dying and must decide who is going to succeed him…
