The team of scientists in the Demeter space laboratory, to which the Agenzia Alfa agent Altuna belonged, has been killed without use of firearms. The only surviving living things are rats, snakes and bats used for experiments and Vlad Schrek, a Stoker University researcher. Nathan Never, hired on the case, goes to Melpomene and questions Shreck, who however complains of total amnesia. He’s being treated for this by Dr. John Seward, but as well as amnesia Shreck begins to have a bizarre fear of light…
