Maria Ossowiecki, the girl that experienced the “Queen of Sheba” adventure with Java, finds her own extrasensory powers reawakened. Thanks to these powers she discovers the crimes the aspiring governor of California, John Greenville, has committed. He tries to kill Maria and she asks Java for help. The Detective of the Impossible then becomes involved in this adventure which puts the future of the entire United States in jeopardy.
