The American writer William Burroughs has come into possession of an unpublished manuscript by Giordano Bruno; it talks of an ancient “machine”, able to control the human mind, and supposedly this machine is hidden somewhere in Rome. Burroughs asks Martin to find it and destroy it before it gets into the wrong hands. The point is that both Sergej Orloff and the Men in Black are interested in finding this mysterious object…
