In the attempt to set a woman free- a friend of hers who’s been taken prisoner by the English – Betty ends up being captured herself and shipped off with the other deportees to the Barbados slave trade. It hardly need be added that the victualer of Fort Ontario will exhibit all her pluck and fortitude… And to finish, a sad and touching love story, which, however, gets tangled up with the vicissitudes of a fugitive, a theft that makes things difficult for the patriots, betrayal and forgiveness… As always, Mark, Gufo Triste and Mister Bluff, as well as the inseparable Flok, will manage to solve this terribly complicated affair!
