To see Mark disguised as a titled English lord is rather unusual, but what’s even more unusual is to see him engaged in a chess game with Captain Swanson. But Mark has rather good reasons to do what he does: saving that old beard of Mister Bluff from the halter. The game with Swanson has just started... and the outcome will be absolutely unpredictable!
When Mark and his mate Kervin, following the tracks of the vanished Mister Bluff and Gufo Triste, arrive at the foot of the mountain, Kervin can’t believe his eyes: that is the mountain of his nightmares, the nightmares that have been tormenting him for years. The mountain, as in every dream, hides a different world in its bowels, but not so different as to escape from the whirl of human passions; in which Kervin and Mark will become enmeshed exactly as in a dream.
