The shipowner Van Doren is not the nicest of men, so when his ships loaded with weapons and supplies for the patriots are systematically intercepted by the English, it is not difficult to suspect him. But doctor Strong assures that he’s a good patriot, and doctor Strong is an honourable man. Who is it then, among the inhabitants of Van Dorens’ house, who has an understanding with the hateful Redcoats? Three tombs dug by a pitiful old man among the rubble of a village. This is what’s left of three brave Ontario Wolves. But one of these tombs also guards the plunder of an English officer put to flight. And many are the hands that would like to seize that gold!
