In the maze of the Sertao forest, a tangle of intrigue, betrayal and trickery envelops Zagor and his friends, with unexpected ambushes and the unceasing whistling of bullets. Zagor and Lobo find themselves involved in the guerrilla between the army and the cangaceiros, and they have to find Kismeth, kidnapped by unknown enemies.
