Fierce warrior Hawak is the charismatic leader of a belligerent Indian tribe, the Cayugas, who belong to the Iroquois Confederacy and live in a village defended by a thick, inviolable fence. Two wicked trappers sell as slaves to Hawak the group of white women they were leading through the woods. Zagor finds out what happened, goes to the Natives village and manages to free the prisoners. Immediately, the hunt is on for the Iroquois warriors, who go on the tracks of the runaways— the Spirit-with-the-Hatchet is the only one who can save the women from the horde of their chasers...
