Capitan Midnight is Nat Murdo! He was able to escape from the burning hut, in California, but his face is now horribly disfigured. Murdo has kidnapped Lady Emma (whom he loves), allying himself with some loyalists who want to discredit Lord Fraser (who protects the Highland farmers). But he changes his mind and goes over to Zagor’s side: it is better to fight with him than against him!
