Nat Murdo’s bandidos have stolen into the ranch of Don Lope de la Sierra, the Spanish hidalgo who has offered hospitality to Zagor and Chico. They kidnap the Mexican and Inés, Don Lope’s daughter, with the intention of using them as bait to capture Zagor. The Spirit with the Hatchet knows it, but does not hesitate to go to Los Angeles, where the final challenge between him and Murdo takes place!
