They are called “dime novels” and are very inexpensive popular short novels. The author, Eddy Rufus, is enjoying a certain amount of success thanks to a series of dime novels with Zagor as the protagonist. One day, Rufus moves into Zagor and Chico’s hut for the purpose of finding ideas for new stories. Ideas that are not long in coming: the drums announce that the Wyandot Indians are about to go on the warpath against the Oneidas!
