A dark, ill-omened and half-forgotten mystery is linked to the Kirby family’s ancestral Irish mansion that dates back to bygone times: a girl buried alive, a curse or whatever?… In our own time, Roland, the last scion of the family, works as a low-cost horror movie director, with a penchant for the vampire motif … His troupe chooses the deserted castle of Monforte da Estrela as the ideal location for the set, situated as it is in a wilderness region of Portugal. But unbeknowns to the English film-makers, even Monforte doesn’t have a lilywhite reputation.
