In Andes folklore, the pishtakus are gruesome corpse devourers, but they don’t disdain a banquet composed of the living. Cruel Judge Montenegro, a big landowner who lords it over a corrupt army division that takes orders from him, plans to use them against the rebel peasants of Huasimayo. The village elder, Don Santiago, was years before a childhood friend of the long-lived dampyr Harlan Draka, and so he summons Harlan to come to his help. Then Harlan, Tesla and Kurjak organize the campesinos’ resistance movement against their terrifying adversaries.
