During the trip towards the supersecret base in the Nevada desert Harlan and his friends still have to face an odyssey of suffering and death. Kurjak has disappeared, Jim Fajella is in the hands of Ixtlàn, other aircraft with atomic missiles attack them on the summit of Bald Mountain and, deep in the bowels of the sacred mountain, they find themselves confronted with some sinister inhabitants of darkness… But this is still nothing in comparison to what they are going to find inside the mysterious base defended by the “controllers”.
