Arrived in the ghost town of Silver Hole to dig up the booty from a robbery that is buried in town, the bandits, Fraser and Thorpe, are shot at by one of their old accomplices, Lomax, believed to be dead. And when the pards arrive, the curtain falls on the tragedy: Thorpe had already been filled with lead, Fraser smashes on the bottom of a well and Lomax dies bitten by rattlesnakes. A while later, Tex and Carson are summoned to Fort Walsh in Montana to be the guide of two unpleasant and bragging hunters: Senator Johnson and Mister Wilson, grandson of the president of the United States.
