El Carnicero, with the help of his new little friend, Zelda, of the evil card dealer, Strasberg, and of the hired ruffian, Sheldon, recruits a band of desperados and has Kit Willer and Tiger Jack kidnapped! Following the clear tracks of the kidnapping, cunningly disseminated by El Carnicero’s hangers-on, even Tex and Carson fall into a trap and only Aquila della Notte manages to avoid it! And while the pards rot in humid cells in the cellars of Balder’s ranch, Willer’s investigations begin again in Gallup.
