Tombstone has become a hideout for cutthroats, and it’s all the fault of the sinister wheeler-dealer Kurt Mayer, who manages his dirty trafficking by greasing the palm of the vile Sheriff Bill Blythe to ensure he turns a blind eye. For bloodthirsty knaves like Clem Colter, head of the band of scalp hunters, it’s a veritable paradise. The arrival of Tex ruins all their criminal plans and the town is cleaned up with bullets and flames. Colter flees, but he doesn’t get far: he falls into the clutches of a group of Bronco looters and is tortured to death in a spectral ghost town.
