Having lowered the curtain on Tilden, Tex cleaned up in Calver City: the gambling-house keeper, Tom Rebo, an accomplice of the villainous Sheriff Mallory, had robbed and killed Willer’s brother, the defenseless Sam! Of Rebo’s gang, only John Coffin survived, with whom Tex, an outlaw by revenge, would settle the account two years later. Back now in the present, Tex and Kit Carson are summoned by Captain Tom Harding to eradicate a scourge that is infecting San Francisco. Two ugly mugs, Shanghai Kelly and Johnny Devine, lead a band that enlists sailors by force on departing ships and blackmail the policemen, having kidnapped a the son of a sergeant!
