Fred Mortimer, unaware of the worst crimes committed against Southern, obtains Tex’s pardon, while his untrustworthy brother, Jim, is killed by his betrayed godson, Gil Robles. Having solved the railway dispute, Tex and Carson arrive in Laredo: the city has fallen into the insatiable jaws of a band of counterfeiters led by the arrogant Ben Kennet! Having cut off the sale of counterfeit dollars, the two pards stumble into a feud between breeders in Palmer Spring: the villainous Maxwell tries to hire them as gunslingers against the rival rancher, Bilder. When they refuse, he sends his hired ruffians to kill them...
