Tom Bayon is alive, but nobody in Diamondville must know! With this trick, Tex can freely investigate: why did a peace-loving black man who has opened a saloon with Lucy Aronson, his white friend, risk being lynched? The black skin is just a pretext, as our hero discovers: Randolph, owner of a rival saloon, is behind the failed hanging and, in addition, he has his eyes on Lucy. A while later the discovery of gold on the Navajo reservation stirs up massacres at the Indians’ expense. In order to kick the invaders out, Tex and Tiger Jack take turns wearing the macabre mask of the Man of Death!
