Tex reveals the mystery of the Black Coyote, a murderer and a renegade: this time his secret identity as an Indian agent (usurped from a wretch he himself killed) can no longer keep the gallows at bay! Heading north, the pards clash with the hangers-on of the ranchero Bent Gideon, who terrorizes one of his neighboring breeders, John Lower, owner of a small plot of land at the foot of the Superstition Mountains.
