The sacred wampum saves the lives of Tex and Gros-Jean, who ended up in the hands of the Indians: the Dakotas recognize in Aquila della Notte the respected white chief of the Navajos. The alliance between the rebel tribes is shattered. Unfortunately, the Sacks, led by white bandits, try an extreme sortie: to kidnap Kit Willer in order to force Tex to surrender. The vile plan fails under a hail of bullets! Tex and Gros-Jean, whose friend, Jim Brandon is injured, travel on behalf of the Redcoats to the High Yukon, where a band of kidnappers are spreading a trail of blood and terror, by stamping bear tracks all over the land...
