Tex and Carson besiege the bandit, Link Johnson, and his partners at the Masons’ trading post. Doug, one of the good-for-nothings, drinking the water of the well infected by a sort of mysterious disease, goes insane, ending up killed by Link himself! The rangers rush in but Johnson, by now infected in his turn, manages to escape. Even the Masons’ dog, infected by Doug’s corpse, becomes dangerous and is put down! Meanwhile, while the rangers and the sheriff of Silver Bell pursue him, Johnson infects a village of Papagos and the Indians, turned into zombies with luminescent eyes, attack a stagecoach!
