Having freed Linda and Gros-Jean from the White Horse trading post, the pards go up the Porcupine River to catch Al Coxey, headed with his men to the gold deposit in the cone of the dead volcano. But this time, it is Nature who metes out justice: the dynamite used by the ugly mugs to extract the nuggets reawakens the sleeping mountain and the scoundrels die swept away by a terrifying eruption! A while later, Tex and Carson are in Boston to hunt for Wayneka, a rebel Navajo arrived in town to purchase a stock of guns coming from Europe and destined to a Mexican secessionist general.
