The pards reemerge from the bowels of the rock, saving the witness of an atrocious crime, who had survived for months underground by eating human flesh. Unmasking the infamous murderers who terrorized the Bendito mining center, the pards discredit forever the myth of the Great Snake. The following summer, dismounted on the Chiricahuas after a clash with a group of Apaches, Tex and Carson intercept the stagecoach for Tucson, on which an ex-captain, a girl, a tailor, a wife-murderer and a bounty killer, who keeps the cut off head of a bandito in a hat-box, are traveling!
