To flush out Pierre de la Rochelle, a mad supporter of independence escaped from the insane asylum who has taken refuge with Manbela’s black rebels, Tex, Carson, Kit and Tiger Jack explore the Louisiana swamps. Having weeded out the formations of black warriors with rifle shots, the pards enter a town of pile-dwellings, the rebels’ den. The rangers set the huts on fire and go back, exterminating with dynamite hundreds of alligators led by Kabagi, a witch doctor capable of incredible witchcraft. But Pierre was not in the town, being sequestered on the sailing ship Nantucket, in the clutches of Stingo and Curtiz!
