While Kit Willer and Tiger Jack, fighting alongside Tanito’s Navajos, hold off the assaults launched by Cane Giallo’s Utes and Kaiba’s Hualpais at Devil Pass, Tex And Carson go through Framington with a fine tooth-comb to ferret out the sinister Tom Colter and his band of foul traffickers who are supplying the rebel Indians with arms and whiskey. The pards seek the assistance of Tad Fletcher, a ranchero friend who’s fallen on hard times because of Colter’s designs on his lands. After having dealt with the iniquitous merchant, the pards board the barge that is carrying guns and spirits to Cane Giallo.
