Rakos has a secret name, and if someone were to pronounce it while at the same time removing the bandage that covers his forehead, it would be all over for the Egyptian witch-doctor. El Morisco is the only one who can do it, and to stop the scientist the living mummy unleashes a pack of wild animals! All in vain: the Yaqui lackeys are defeated by the pards and the sarcophagus of Rakos is finally violated; at last the rite can be performed that will mark the end of a nightmare which has endured for thousands of years. The following summer, as they investigate a boat on the Mississipi, the four pards inflict a harsh lesson on a gambling ring…
