Tied to the torture pole by the Urons, who are in league with the Canadian rebels, Tex and Jim Brandon watch on powerlessly as a tragedy unfolds. The idealist Roger Goudret, who wanted to call a stop to the massacres, is shot dead by his cousin “Big Bear”; thus after the death of the man they believed to be a Prophet, the Indians abandon the secessionists and a copious detachment of “mounties” arrive to launch the final attack on the heart of the rebellion! Sergeant Donavan, who has betrayed the Redcoats, suddenly feels the pangs of conscience and honor, and sacrifices himself to save Willer and Brandon from the fury of “Big Bear”.
