Dan Bishop is a street performer: his stage is a sidewalk, and the busy, indifferent passersby are his audience. Every day, Dan tries to bring a little joy to a stranger’s life by playing the clarinet, but the only one who ever seems to notice him is Nellie, who never misses one of his performances. Nellie is convinced that Dan is hiding a secret, which is why she grows worried when he suddenly vanishes.
