The epidemic that spread unexpectedly in Vienna, with a death rate of more than 99% among those who fall ill, isn’t connected to a traditional type of disease. Its victims are seized by an irresistible urge to take their own life. What’s the cause? It’s not clear why the disease hits some people, while others stay immune to it. Our Detective of the Impossible, unwittingly involved in the investigation, tries solving the mystery with a long trip back in the past. He will go to the time of the wars between Austria and the Ottoman Empire, and even further back.
