The multinational Voohrman & Kane is experimenting with an innovative yet controversial technology, capable of suspending subjects in a state of pre-death: they call it “half-life.” Karen turns to Dylan, tormented by a recurring nightmare from which she always wakes up a moment before being killed. For Dylan, it is the beginning of a razor’s-edge investigation: he doesn’t know he has come into contact with a perverse mind, in whose recesses a deadly trap lurks.
