Smeraldi in fiamme

A wandering bard, looking for food and rest, stops at an inn and offers his services to the clients at the tables: what better chance to listen to epic ballads about knights and dragons?
No way! The beautiful innkeeper – Dragonero’s readers have already known her in a previous story… but we keep tight-lipped about her identity for now! – have very clear ideas about it: she doesn’t want to hear tales about war, but love! That’s how, with the lute’s light notes and the bard’s fluted voice, the story of Myrva’s first love takes shape. It’s a poignant tale, interwoven with other, more dramatic events in which Dragonero’s sister is the main character. But, before the album’s surprising finale, where we’ll find out about the secret purposes of the cunning bard, we have time for a trip to Great Lakes Enclave to learn more about the past of Sheda and her family’s origins. This second story, again told by the bard, has a direct continuity with “Il racconto della monaca”, originally published in issue n. 11, “La regina degli Algenti”. It describes what happened to Sheda once she got back home… where she wasn’t welcomed with open arms!
