With the Chases defeated, Herbert Addison hugs his father again. A while later, the pards save a child from the killers of the old tumbler that had adopted him. Taken to Las Cruces, young Felipe Elgin delivers an enigmatic message to the new marshal, Susan McIntire, written by his grandfather, the thief John “Santa Klaus”, before he died, and addressed to his confidant and marshal friend, Ted, Susan’s husband, killed by the robbers of a mail wagon. And now those same ruffians kidnap Felipe, convinced that he knows where the loot that his grandfather took from the gang is located!
