Starting from the Pompeian laterculus, i.e. the Latin magical square that shows the enigmatic phrase “Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas”, the adventure that takes Martin Mystère temporarily back to New York gets under way. Here, the Detective of the Impossible finds the city invaded by a wave of insane murders that seem to be linked, in some sinister way, to the crosswords published every day by an important daily newspaper.
