Gambit, the beautiful adventurer who’s been sentenced to death for a murder she never perpetrated, mounts the scaffold to be hanged, while Zagor – carrying the proof of her innocence – is running against the clock to stop the execution. Later, in the land of the Comanches, a patrol of soldiers is escorting a hunting expedition organized by the wealthy Mr. Rockson. The man brought along his nephew Jason and his niece Evelyn, both young teenagers. When two young Comanches try to steal some horses from the soldiers, ending up being killed, the warriors at the orders of Standing Bear slaughter the expedition in retaliation, kidnapping Jason and his sister. Major Wolf, Fort Fulton’s commander, asks the Spirit-with-the-Hatchet for help, and the search for the kidnapped kids begins …
