Julia celebrated her 20th anniversary in 2018, with the reprint of her most disturbing and adrenaline-filled stories. "Julia, i casi archiviati", is the title of the series that you will still find at your newsstands in the next months.

2019 will find our criminologist ready to tackle new cases, in the regular series. The year starts with the story of Matilda, a young woman who’s found killed after having been tied to her bed... A murder or a sex game that ended badly? All the clues seem to lead Julia and the police to the jaded scion of a wealthy family, a man with a penchant for sadistic practices. But he stubbornly reiterates he’s not guilty...

In the following album, the victim is a woman again. Casey had a difficult life. Hard work, a violent husband, a disadvantaged neighborhood. And, in the end, a jump from the sixth story on to the railway tracks. A self-destructive action? A brutal murder?

In March, a robbery ends with two dead bodies on the pavement and the criminals on the run. The loot consists of hazardous material. Julia and Webb will have to find it before innocent people pay the price for it... But the bad guys aren’t just the men wearing a balaclava, and with a gun in their hands, but also the corrupt police officers who are ready to kill their colleagues for the love of money. Evil can conceal even behind the usual routine of an everyday family, where a domestic violence episode ends with a murder. The wife kills her husband and is sent to jail. While behind bars, the woman asks Julia for help in finding her missing daughter, a fragile, tormented young woman who has linked her fate with a petty criminal and a ring of drug traffickers...

Monsters won’t spare children, too: a Romani girl is at risk because she’s the witness of a homicide, an autistic teenager vanishes into thin air, the child that Norma and her partner have adopted is kidnapped... We’ll also meet a long string of serial killers, rapists, and even a werewolf who attacks his victims with claws and fangs. Julia will come back to Italy, too, to meet her Ettore. Together, they will walk on the same streets where Giacomo Casanova trod, looking for a missing tourist. As usual, the next summer will be the time for our full-color Speciale, with a young Julia, right out of college, working as an intern in the firm of a lawyer.
